Graduate Certificate in Paediatric Nursing

The Graduate Certificate in Paediatric Nursing is a part-time course designed to promote an understanding of the theoretical aspects of paediatric nursing, supporting safe practice in the care of paediatric patients.

This course delivers theoretical content through a combination of online study and a supervised clinical practice subject at the employing hospital. The course aims to provide high-quality care for sick paediatric patients and their families, guided by the latest evidence and best practice guidelines.

Course Structure

• The course is designed to be undertaken part-time, suiting the needs of currently practicing Registered Nurses.
• It combines online study with face-to-face classes and guided supervision at the employing hospital, maximizing learning both clinically and theoretically.
• The work-integrated learning (WIL) model enables students to confidently apply their knowledge to practice.

Entry Requirements

International students are welcome to study this course, but please note that it is not available to international students who require a student visa to study in Australia, as it does not meet the onshore study requirements and is not registered with CRICOS.
