The master's degree program in Landscape Architecture consists of modules that combine curriculum content on a specific topic and often include various study and teaching formats such as lectures, practical tutorials, seminars, and practical projects. A current overview of all modules in the program is available in TU Berlin's module transfer system (MTS), which also provides an overview of which modules are mandatory for the degree program and which are elective.
Internships
A six-month internship must be completed prior to commencing the program.
Stays Abroad
Parts of the program can be completed abroad, either in the form of study abroad or internships. General information concerning stays abroad is available from the TU Berlin International Office (study abroad) or the Career Service (internships abroad).
Acquired Skills
The master's program in Landscape Architecture provides students with the skills needed to design and develop open spaces and landscapes on various spatial levels, in different regions, and in varying cultural contexts. Students learn to analyze and assess complex relationships and conditions in the landscape and open spaces, and to develop comprehensive conceptual and design skills.
After Graduation
The master's program in Landscape Architecture aims to prepare students for an international, design-focused, and scientific field of work. Graduates can work independently and responsibly as landscape architects, take on research and development tasks, or assume leadership positions in management and administration, especially for public and private open spaces. They can design public and private parks and gardens, properties of public facilities, and playgrounds, and play a decisive role in the aesthetic design of cities and communities. Graduates may also take on teaching tasks in vocational schools.
