Program Overview
The Master's program in Media Technology is an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented degree that focuses on image and video technology, speech and audio technology, as well as human-machine interaction, data science, media systems, and networks. This program is unique in the Berlin/Brandenburg area and builds on the Bachelor's program in Media Technology.

Admission Requirements
The specific admission requirement is a first university degree in the field of media technology or in a related field of study. Courses of study in the aforementioned field of study as well as related courses of study must contain at least:
- 24 credit points from the field of media technology and information technology
- 12 credit points from the field of electrical engineering and computer engineering
- 6 credit points from the field of computer science

Program Structure

In the 4th semester, students will write their Master's thesis. Upon successful completion of their studies, students will receive the academic degree Master of Science.
Acquired Skills
As a graduate, students will acquire in-depth specialist knowledge of the specialist methods and approaches of media technology as well as the sub-fields of electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science. Students will be familiar with technical engineering core competencies and will be able to combine these with their knowledge of speech, audio, image, video, and multimedia applications.

After successful completion of their studies, a wide range of fields of activity will open up to graduates. The focus of professional activity of a media technician lies in the conception, development, and use of systems for recording, transmission, and presentation of media as well as media interaction. Potential employers are looking for experts in studio technology, voice, audio, image, and video production, media design, conception, and implementation of media transmission systems.
