Description

This training program is designed for all nursing staff who administer intravenous medications as part of medical delegation. The program focuses on providing participants with knowledge on the most common side effects relevant to daily patient observation after medication administration.

Objective

After successfully completing this training, participants will have gained knowledge on:

• The most common side effects that can occur immediately after application
• Common interactions, compatibilities, incompatibilities, and contraindications
• Knowledge of individual solvents for preparing short infusions
• Knowledge of application duration and speed
• Knowledge of parenteral nutrition
• Handling and care of central and peripheral venous catheters and port systems
