The Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) is a comprehensive program that provides students with a thorough understanding of business principles and practices.

Student Internships
On average, students in our full-time programs have 18-22 hours of contact time per week, including lectures, tutorials, and small group teaching. Outside of this, you will be expected to schedule time for study and class preparation as well as time to work on projects and assignments, either individually or in a group.
Student Exchange
The program offers opportunities for student exchange, allowing students to gain international experience and broaden their perspectives.

Is the study of business subject(s) required for a place on this course?
It is not necessary to have studied a business subject at secondary school.
How many hours of lectures are given every week?
On average, students in our full-time programs have 18-22 hours of contact time per week, including lectures, tutorials, and small group teaching.
Is there support for students who have difficulty with Maths subjects?
There is an extra Maths class for those who did ordinary level Maths for the Leaving Certificate. The UCD Maths Support Centre is also available for students who might need additional help with maths or quantitative subjects during the academic year.
Can you study a language on the Bachelor of Commerce?
BComm students take 5 Horizon Electives in total and can choose electives from a languages subject, depending on availability and timetabling.
Does the Bachelor of Commerce qualify for Cap 1 Exemptions?
To be eligible to apply for CAP 1 exemptions, candidates must achieve a clear pass without compensation in all of the relevant modules, as set down by the Chartered Accountants Ireland.
