Introduction to the UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering
The UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering was established in 1952 and is the oldest, largest, and highest-ranked school of its kind in Ireland.
Lab Summer School
The school will run a 4-week Unit Operations and Bioprocess Lab Summer School in June on UCD's main Belfield campus in Dublin 4.

Cultural and Social Programme
An essential element of Summer Schools is for students to experience Irish society and culture. A series of excursions and events will be organised collectively between UCD Global and the other Summer Schools.
Academic Programme Overview
Students will work in groups of 2 to complete 8 Unit Operation and Bioprocessing experiments. In the final week, students will visit a pharmaceutical plant to get a close-up view of bioprocessing and large molecule manufacturing.
Application Procedure & Deadline
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 to apply. The application is open to both EU and Non-EU students. The target cohort is students transitioning from 2nd to 3rd year and 3rd to 4th year.

Programme Details
- The programme is designed for students transitioning from 2nd to 3rd year and 3rd to 4th year.
- First-year students who have completed their 1st year alone would not attain maximum benefit from the course or have the required pre-learnings.
- A minimum grade of C is required to award a Certificate of Completion.
- Partners are recommended to award 10-ECTS/6 US credits on successful completion.
