Field Data Acquisition and Analysis
Course Description
The Field Data Acquisition and Analysis course focuses on understanding the concepts of usability and user experience in a specific health context, emphasizing energy intake (food
utrition) and energy expenditure (active lifestyle). Students will gain familiarity with data analytics and methods for user-centered design.
Course Objectives
In this course, students will learn to acquire, analyze, and represent data in a real-life setting, focusing on energy intake and expenditure. The course will cover handling data acquired in a real-life field context, data access, and presentation. The focus areas include the biophysical domain (food/activities), the technical domain (data acquisition and analytics), and the domain of (interaction) psychology (behavioral change, contextual and adaptive data representation), as well as legal and ethical aspects.
