Description

This microtitle aims to train students in the environmental applications of biotechnology.

Admission Profile

The student profile for this microtitle is anyone who wishes to delve into environmental biotechnology and has sufficient training in biology and chemistry to achieve the learning outcomes of the selected subjects in the microtitle.

Selection Criteria

Students will be selected preferably from degrees that have provided them with sufficient capacity to address the contents of the subjects. For example, but not exclusively: Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, etc.

Enrollment Conditions

By UAM regulations, those who are taking or have taken Environmental Sciences cannot enroll in this microtitle. Students of the Degree in Biochemistry cannot take "Microbial Biotechnology".

It is necessary to take, first and consecutively, the two compulsory subjects (16509 and 16512) and, after them, choose two of the optional subjects. It is recommended that students from Degrees that lack Microbiology in their study plan take the optional subject 16489 - Microbiology.

Plan of Studies

Depending on the academic year, the offer of subjects that are of an optional nature in the Degrees of Environmental Sciences and Biochemistry may change. In no case will these changes affect the obtaining of the microtitle.
