Overview
The Magisterutbildning i Demensvňrd f÷r Arbets- och Fysioterapeuter is a unique web-based master's program in dementia care for occupational and physical therapists. Developed in collaboration with the Silviahemmet Foundation, this program is designed to provide therapists with the knowledge and skills necessary to care for individuals with dementia.

Program Description
The program is a 60-credit master's degree that can be completed in two years on a part-time basis. It is designed to be flexible, allowing students to work while pursuing their studies. The program includes a combination of theoretical and practical courses, with a focus on evidence-based practice and person-centered care.
Course Structure
The program consists of the following courses:
- Demenssjukdom frňn cell till samhńlle (Dementia from Cell to Society)
- Vetenskaplig teori och metod (Scientific Theory and Method)
- Implementering av evidensbaserad arbetsterapi/fysioterapi f÷r personer med demens (Implementation of Evidence-Based Occupational/Physical Therapy for Individuals with Dementia)
- Examensarbete i arbetsterapi/fysioterapi (Master's Thesis in Occupational/Physical Therapy)

Study Form and Duration
The program is offered as a distance learning course, with studies conducted over four semesters on a part-time basis. The planned start date for the program is autumn 2027.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional degree (at least 180 credits) in occupational therapy or physical therapy. English proficiency is also required, with a minimum grade of B/6 from Swedish upper secondary school.
