Peer Network Program

The Peer Network program is a team of current UTS students who assist commencing students with the initial transition to university at Orientation.

About the Peer Network

• The Peer Network is an energetic, outgoing, and friendly group dedicated to making university life for new students as easy as possible.
• Peer Networkers help new students by leading campus tours, staffing the Orientation helpdesk, serving free coffee at the coffee cart, mingling at official welcomes, answering questions, and more.
• Peer Networkers can also volunteer throughout the session at the Peer Network Cafe, a weekly coffee drop-in for commencing students to help them build connections as they start their university journey.

• Being a Peer Networker comes with a range of benefits, including training, special events, certificates, and recommendations, networking advantages, and the famed orange t-shirt.
• Peer Networkers can practice their communication and leadership skills during Orientation, as well as make new friends along the way.
• Having those connections and seeing familiar faces always makes campus a little bit brighter.

Eligibility and Expectations

• Eligibility criteria for becoming a Peer Networker include being a current UTS student and being available to volunteer during Orientation.
• Expectations of Peer Networkers include being energetic, outgoing, and friendly, as well as being committed to helping new students transition to university life.
