Graduate Diploma in High Performance Sport

Overview

The Graduate Diploma in High Performance Sport is targeted at professionals and students with varied backgrounds, offering flexible part-time and full-time study pathways, commencing in either Autumn or Spring. International students can study this course in online mode only and thus are not eligible for a student visa to study this course in Australia.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:


  1. Engage in the process of ongoing personal and professional development through inquiry, critical thinking, and reflective practice.
  2. Apply advanced knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems in high performance sport, guided by evidence-informed practice.
  3. Communicate, collaborate, and lead in the field of high performance sport.
  4. Demonstrate socially-responsible, legal and ethical behaviour within interdisciplinary high performance sport environments.
  5. Critically analyse personal and professional contexts to develop culturally safe work practices to work for and with Indigenous Australians in a high performance sport.

Structure

Students must complete a total of 48 credit points, made up of 42 credit points of core subjects and 6 credit points of work integrated learning subjects. Students are able to enrol in this course on a full-time or part-time basis as long as the course is completed within UTS timeframes. There is no particular subject enrolment order, students should select subjects that interest them.
