نظرة عامة على البرنامج
Master Program in Accounting and Financial Management
The Master program in Accounting and Financial Management is an in-depth education in external accounting, financial control, and financing. A faculty active in research, practice, and regulation will equip you to produce and analyze high-quality information to guide organizations in investment decisions, planning, performance evaluation, restructuring, and financing activities. We place great emphasis on the interaction between theory and practice, as well as current developments in digitalization and sustainability.
Program Description
The program focuses on building competencies in both accounting and financing, necessary for understanding the interplay between different financial processes under constantly changing conditions in today's complex society. Our program stands out by offering these competencies, built from a strong research base around sustainability aspects. Knowledge in both accounting and financing with a strong sustainability perspective equips you with highly sought-after knowledge and prepares you for qualified work in the field of accounting and financing.
Unique Balanced Program with Clear Sustainability Profile
You will receive an education balanced between financial control, external accounting, and financing. Financial control focuses on the design and use of control systems from both strategic and process-oriented perspectives. External accounting courses deal with valuation issues that companies handle in their financial accounting and the importance of these issues for users of financial reports. Financial reports as a means of communication are also discussed. Financing courses focus on long-term decision-making regarding investments, financing, and risk management. The role of markets, information, and incentives is also considered.
Through lectures and case studies, you will develop your knowledge in oral and written communication, analytical problem-solving, information seeking, project management, and teamwork. You can specialize in the field of accounting and financing or broaden your skills with elective courses from other programs.
Opportunities for Interaction and Engagement
Throughout the program, you will have opportunities to relate theoretical knowledge to contemporary developments in the surrounding society. We often have guest lectures, some of which offer an organizational perspective and discuss how different theories can be linked to unique situations, while others provide a background, trends, and general development in the field. You will work with case studies and develop the ability to analyze current practices within organizations with the support of the theory you study. Today's development in sustainability and digitalization affects current practices in accounting and financing. Our program regularly examines these challenges and gives you opportunities to engage with them.
International Atmosphere
An international atmosphere gives you the opportunity to experience other cultures, improve your communication skills, and build a global network of friends. You will be part of a dynamic and international student group.
You can also spend time at one of our partner universities. More information about exchange studies on this program can be found under the heading "Studies Abroad."
