Course Content
Theoretical Lectures
The course introduces research fields (dietary intake, eating habits, physical activity) and their measurement methods, methodological challenges, and development potential. These lectures form the basis for practical experiments and seminars.

Supervised Practical Experiments with Seminars (Compulsory)
Groups of students prepare, design, and perform measurements of dietary intake, eating habits, and physical activity. Students learn to use measurement methods (subjective, objective) and software for data collection and analysis, create variables and simple databases for evaluation, and evaluate results in relation to previous research. Results and analyses are compiled, presented, and discussed in seminars. Methodological skills must be demonstrated. The practical experiments are supervised by teachers/assistant teachers.
Support Lectures
Methodological guidance on handling equipment, software, creating databases, searching literature databases, and reading and understanding scientific articles.

Bachelor's degree in sports science, nutrition science, nutrition, medicine, health care, physiotherapy, or similar.

The Pedagogen building is located in central Gothenburg, close to everything. Teaching and research are largely conducted in three buildings: A-house on Västra Hamngatan 25, B-house on Läroverksgatan 15, and C-house on Läroverksgatan 5.
- In the A-house, you will find the Service Center, university library, student union office, study guidance for teacher education, International Student Office Pedagogen, and a café.
- The B-house also has a café and a well-equipped student kitchen with microwaves and refrigerators.
- All houses have plenty of spaces for students to work individually or in groups.
