Program for Mathematics

The aim of the Program for Mathematics is for Sweden to reclaim its leading position internationally by offering the best young researchers global experience, and recruiting young as well as more experienced mathematicians to Sweden. In addition, there is considerable demand for mathematicians with PhDs in the academic as well as the commercial and industrial fields. The Foundation will support prominent researchers in mathematics during 20142029. The funding amounts to a total of SEK 650 million.

Program Components

This program consists of several parts:

• Nomination of international guest researchers (guest professor)
• Postdoctoral Scholarship Program in Mathematics for outgoing researchers with a Swedish doctoral degree
• Postdoctoral Scholarship Program in Mathematics for researchers from outside Sweden

Application Details

Please note that if you need a support letter from the President, you must contact the Research Support Office no later than September 11, 2025 to get the template. Completed support letter must be at the RSO's disposal by September 26, 2025 at the latest in order to obtain our President's signature.

• The call is open every year.
