Course Overview

The course CM2002, Artificial Intelligence within Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems, is a 7.5 credit course that explores the application of artificial intelligence in biomedical engineering and health systems.


Course Description

During this course, students will experience various aspects of current, emerging, and future healthcare challenges and trends. They will learn how to develop innovative technical solutions and recognize business opportunities. The course includes lectures, team collaboration, oral presentations, study visits, problem-based learning seminars, practical hands-on training, and collaborative project work.

  • Completed degree project 15 ECTS
  • 25 ECTS in mathematics
  • 15 ECTS in physics
  • 10 ECTS in programming
  • 6 ECTS in electrical engineering
  • Alternative: 2 years of work experience in healthcare in medical technology, data analysis, or at a research institute or regulatory institute
  • English 6/B

Examination and Completion

The course is graded on a P/F scale, with a project examination (PRO1) worth 7.5 credits. The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
