Introduction to the Aurifer GCC Tax Certificate

The Aurifer GCC Tax Certificate is a pioneering executive program launched in 2022, designed to provide a comprehensive overview of tax systems in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, with a specific focus on the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This unique program is developed and endorsed by qualified professionals and academics in the field, offering a blend of theoretical explanations and real-world applications for a broad spectrum of businesses in the UAE and internationally.


Program Details

  • Duration: 16 days of teaching, totaling 48 hours of learning, from October to November.
  • Format: Blended learning, beginning with a Keynote Conference followed by regular in-person and live-streamed sessions.
  • Faculty: Composed of experts from leading law and accounting firms across the Gulf and internationally, ensuring a learning experience that blends academic excellence with real-world insights.

  • Module 1: UAE Corporate Tax - Delving into the intricacies of the UAE Corporate Tax regime.
  • Module 2: Pillar Two in the GCC - Analyzing the key concepts and implications of the Pillar Two initiative in the GCC.
  • Module 3: GCC Customs & Excises - Building deep knowledge of GCC and international frameworks, including excise regimes.
  • Module 4: GCC VAT - Introducing participants to fundamental VAT principles specific to the GCC countries.
  • Module 5: KSA Domestic Tax System - Providing an in-depth introduction to Saudi Arabia's tax and Zakat framework.
  • Module 6: Kuwait Domestic Tax System - Introducing students to the fundamentals of the Kuwait Domestic Tax System.
  • Module 7: International Tax - Covering the fundamental concepts of double tax treaties and their impact on cross-border investments.
  • Module 8: Transfer Pricing in the Middle East - Exploring the foundational principles of Transfer Pricing and its application in the GCC.
  • Module 9: Specialisation Tracks - Offering two specialized tracks: Taxation of Financial Services and Private Wealth Tax Planning.

Eligibility and Fees

  • Eligible Candidates: Must have a bachelor's or master's degree in law, accounting, or business, and a strong command of English. Alternatively, applicants without a degree but with 1 to 4 years of proven experience in the tax field are also encouraged to apply.
  • Fees: 12,000 for the full course, with options for single module registration and discounts available for MDX Dubai students and alumni, as well as corporate groups.
