Program Structure
The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of ethics, politics, and social phenomena through the lenses of philosophy and social sciences. The philosophy program focuses on epistemological questions related to the conditions of scientific objectivity and the differences between social sciences and natural sciences. It also explores moral and political questions, including classical topics such as justice, freedom, and equality, and the theory of action (rational choice theory). The sociology component studies the link between sociological theory and empirical research, teaching students qualitative and quantitative methodologies of social sciences and working on contemporary social phenomena.
