GFC Challenge Tests
Challenge tests can be taken prior to the first semester of study to allow students to gain exemption from certain GFC subjects. A mark of 50% or above will entitle students to an exemption from that GFC subject.
GFC Online Challenge Test Timetable
The GFC online challenge test timetable is available for the spring trimester, with tests scheduled for various dates and times.
Enrolling in the GFC
To enroll in the GFC, students must complete the following steps:
- Contact the Admissions Officer or attend UOWD during business hours with the offer letter on or before the start of the semester.
- Clear any conditions in the offer letter, such as providing certified documents or satisfying English language requirements.
- Pay the GFC fees (AED 2,100 per subject) to the Cashier's office.
- Bring the receipt and offer letter to the FRED and registry services on the 1st floor, where the student ID photo will be taken and enrollment in subjects will be completed according to the offer letter.
GFC Frequently Asked Questions
- How is it decided which GFC subjects students will need to take? Each program has defined admission criteria, and students who meet the GPA requirements for admission but have not completed the required GFC subjects as part of their undergraduate degree will need to take the relevant subjects or pass the challenge tests.
