Master of Project Management
The Master of Project Management (MPM) program at Abu Dhabi University is offered by the College of Engineering (CoE) in collaboration with the College of Business. The program accepted the first cohort of students in Spring 2013.
Program Overview
The program is designed to be in line with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI). This prepares the students to take the exam of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification offered by the PMI and makes the program more attractive to professionals and engineers who plan to become certified Project Managers.
Program Structure
The Master of Project Management consists of 10 courses (30 credit hours), 6 of which are core courses, 2 are program elective courses, and 2 are business courses. The student could also do a research project in lieu of one program elective. Upon completion of the 6 core courses of the program, students will be offered two certificates from Abu Dhabi University, the first one is a Certificate in Project Management Fundamentals, and the second is a Certificate in Advanced Project Management.
Admission Requirements
- Bachelors Degree: Directly related discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a 4.00-point scale, from an accredited university recognized by the UAE's Ministry of Education-Higher Education Affairs.
- English language proficiency requirements: For master program taught in English, an Official score report of international TOEFL (IBT) 79 or the ITP 550 (taken at Amideast) or the Academic IELTS 6.0 must be taken no more than two years prior to admission, or English EmSat minimum score of 1400 no more than 18 month prior to admission to Abu Dhabi University.
- International Students: We also welcome applications from students with a variety of bachelor degrees from an accredited university recognized by the UAE's Ministry of Education-Higher Education Affairs, upon their successful completion of any required program foundation courses.
- Transfer Students: Postgraduate transfer students may apply for credit transfer for courses taken prior to joining Abu Dhabi University only once, when they first apply for admission.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees for the Master of Project Management program are as follows:
- Abu Dhabi: AED 88,200 (30 credit hours at AED 2,940 per credit hour)
- Dubai: AED 75,630 (30 credit hours at AED 2,420 per credit hour)
