Summer School: The City and the Water

The Summer School "The City and the Water" is a 10-day design workshop that explores the complex relationships between the built environment and water.

Aim

The Summer School aims to provide theoretical skills and methodological tools for knowledge of the built environment and the architectural design linked to water's landscape.

Who Can Apply

The International Summer School is open to university students and PhD students of Architecture, Urban Planning, Design, Design Institutes, Landscape Design, and Environment, as well as young professionals and artists from all EU and non-EU countries.

Application

The application process involves submitting the required documents, including:

• Identity Document (PASSPORT in case you are a foreign student)
• Enrolment Form
• Curriculum Vitae

Fees

The tuition fees for the Summer School are 750€, with a 30% discount for UNIPI and Circle U. students.

Refund Policy

The refund policy states that reimbursement is permitted by paying a penalty corresponding to 60% of the tuition fee already paid by 3 April 2026. After 3 April 2026, tuition fees are non-refundable.

Fundings

There are three different tuition fee waivers granted thanks to the funds of the Summer School:

• A GOLD scholarship amounting to 750 €
• A SILVER scholarship amounting to 350 €
• A BRONZE scholarship amounting to 250 €

The three tuition fee waivers will be assigned after the evaluation of the CVs. Selection results will be notified by 27 February 2026.
