Program Overview

The Laurea Triennale, or First-Level Degree in Biomedical Engineering, is a course aligned with the current ministerial tables for both Class L/8 (Information Engineering) and Class L/9 (Industrial Engineering). The title of Biomedical Engineer is unique, regardless of the chosen class.

Program Structure

The program's structure is such that the choice made during enrollment in the third year of the course will determine the class of degree for which the title will be awarded and for which the State Exam Section B (Junior Engineer) will be taken for professional qualification.

Degree Classification

• The degree is classified under two main categories:
  • Class L/8 (Ingegneria dell'Informazione), which translates to Information Engineering
  • Class L/9 (Ingegneria Industriale), which translates to Industrial Engineering
• The choice of class during the third year of study will dictate the specific degree title and the professional qualification exam to be taken.

Professional Qualification

• The program leads to the title of Ingegnere Biomedico (Biomedical Engineer).
• Upon completion, students are required to take the Esame di Stato Sezione B (State Exam Section B) for the abilitation to practice the profession as a Junior Engineer.
