Mestrado Conjunto em European Legal Practice

Overview

The Mestrado Conjunto em European Legal Practice is a postgraduate program that aims to provide students with a deep understanding of European legal practice, combining the development of scientific knowledge in at least two languages with the ability to work in different legal systems. The program is designed to create international legal experts.

Program Structure

• The program consists of a specialization course with a duration of three semesters.
• A preparation phase for the master's dissertation with a duration of one semester.
• The total duration of the program is 120 credits (ECTS).

Content

• The specialization course includes two mandatory curricular units on scientific research methodology.
• A set of varied curricular units in each semester, selected from a wide range of innovative units within the desired specialty (Legal; Legal-Political or Legal-Economic).
• In the second phase, students elaborate and present an original dissertation under the guidance of a Doctor in Law.

• To provide students with unique experiences in scientific and practical areas of foreign legal systems and cultures.
• To acquire and consolidate comparative legal and cultural competencies and proficiency in working with various European legal systems.
