Introduction to the Bachelor of Laws Program
The Bachelor of Laws program at Ajman University is one of the pioneering programs that began with the college's inception in 2005. Since then, it has been a crucial program at the university, keen on keeping pace with the developments in the field of legal education through its study plan, which was prepared and reviewed by a group of academic experts according to global quality standards.
Program Overview
Introduction:
The Bachelor of Laws program was presented to the Academic Accreditation Authority at the Ministry of Education, where it obtained eligibility for academic accreditation with 141 credited hours. The program has evolved through multiple inputs in response to accreditation requirements, which contributed to its final accreditation by Ministerial Decision No. (103) for the year 2011, dated April 28, 2011, with 132 credited hours. The program's accreditation was recently renewed on January 20, 2019.
The College of Law seeks to develop the Bachelor of Laws program and meet international expectations. The program obtained international accreditation in 2020 from the French High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hc廨es) for a period of 5 years. The program also obtained re-accreditation in December 2025 for a period of five years.
The law study plan is distinguished by its focus on practical and applied skills required by the labor market. To make the study plan more flexible for students, the number of program hours was reduced from 132 credited hours to 129 credited hours, starting from July 2023.

Admission Requirements:
- The student must have a high school diploma from the United Arab Emirates or its equivalent, certified by the Ministry of Education, with a minimum average of 60% for the Elite, Advanced, and General tracks.
- The student must have achieved a grade of no less than 70% in mathematics in the high school exams. If the grade is less than 70%, the applicant is granted conditional acceptance, provided they pass a remedial mathematics course.

The study plan for the Bachelor of Laws program includes 129 credited hours, which the student must complete to graduate. The plan is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of legal concepts and practical skills required by the labor market.
Educational Outcomes
The Bachelor of Laws program aims to equip graduates with the following skills and competencies:
- Cognitive Skills: The ability to define and accurately understand basic concepts and rules in various legal specialties, and to compare between legislative, jurisprudential, and judicial solutions.
- Intellectual Skills: The ability to analyze legal texts, apply them to legal facts, and deduce from legal texts the adaptation of incidents and the possibility of attributing them to the appropriate legal text.
- Competency Aspects: The ability to work independently and responsibly, prepare scientific projects that reflect basic specialization skills, use modern technology to enhance projects and research, and formulate legislative solutions to emerging issues within a teamwork framework.
Graduation Requirements
To obtain the Bachelor of Laws degree, the following conditions must be met:
- The student must successfully complete 129 credited hours.
- The student's cumulative average upon completing graduation requirements must not be less than 2.0 points.
- The student must adhere to the maximum duration (8 academic years) and the minimum duration (3.5 academic years) to remain in the program.
