Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and Literature program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Arabic language and its literature. The program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue careers in fields such as education, research, and media.

The vision of the program is to innovate unprecedented methods to bring Arabic language and literature to the pinnacle of quality.


Mission

The mission of the program is to prepare specialists in linguistic and literary studies, equipped with advanced communication skills, qualified to apply their knowledge and experience in research and various fields of work that require the use of Arabic language and literature.


Objectives

The objectives of the program are:


  • To provide students with scientific and practical skills in Arabic language and literature that meet the needs of society.
  • To prepare specialized graduates in Arabic language, equipped with knowledge, skills, and abilities in the field of Arabic language and literature.
  • To create intellectual integration among students between Arabic language and other humanities and social sciences.
  • To deepen students' cognitive awareness of the history of Arabic literature and its criticism from ancient times to the present.
  • To qualify students to preserve the linguistic and literary heritage.
  • To enable students to access sources and references that establish and root linguistic sciences, rhetoric, literature, and criticism.
  • To qualify graduates to pursue postgraduate studies and scientific research in Arabic language and literature.
  • To emphasize students' affiliation with their national, religious, and linguistic identity.
  • To promote systematic critical thinking and continuous learning among students.
