Introduction to the Program
The University of Wasl launched the Achievement Program in cooperation with the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai on September 16, 2013, and opened its second branch in Fujairah on February 23, 2014. This program is in response to the "Absher" initiative launched by the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with generous support from Jumeah Al Majid and close follow-up from the University Director to prepare national cadres and qualify them to enter the job market.
Program Objectives
The Achievement Program is designed to qualify students for the job market by developing the necessary work skills to achieve professional goals. It aims to bridge the gap in personal skills and enable program participants to perform better in a work environment. The program's objective is not only employment but also job retention, where graduates acquire professional and productivity skills and are adaptable to the requirements of the job market.
Program Structure
- The program duration is one academic year, divided into two semesters, each lasting 16 weeks, including assessments.
- Students acquire a range of theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to the work environment during their study period.
- The program includes intensive specialized courses that match the job market.

First Semester (Foundation)

Second Semester (Specialization)
The student chooses one of the specializations from the business tracks:
- Human Resources Officer
- Government Tax Officer
- Sales Supervisor
Specializations
First Specialization: Human Resources Officer
This specialization provides trainees with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for the first employment stage in the Human Resources department under the job title "Human Resources Officer." It includes understanding the importance of implementing human resource policies, following up on recruitment processes, coordinating appointments, promotions, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with internal and external laws related to work.
Second Specialization: Government Tax Officer
This specialization provides trainees with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for the first employment stage in the finance department under the job title "Government Tax Officer." It includes in-depth knowledge of local tax regulations to examine tax returns, invoices, and other documents to determine and verify the amount of taxes and fees paid by individuals and companies.
Third Specialization: Sales Supervisor
This specialization provides trainees with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary for the first employment stage in the sales department under the job title "Sales Supervisor." It includes knowledge of marketing basics, product life cycle, and marketing strategies, as well as the responsibilities of a sales supervisor in planning, directing, following up, and motivating sales teams.
Program Certificate
After completing the program requirements, the participant is awarded a certificate of "Achievement in Job Market Qualification" and is also given the opportunity to complete university studies at the Higher Colleges of Technology, provided they achieve a minimum of Band 5 in the Academic IELTS English language proficiency test. The program encourages participants to continue their university studies by allocating a monthly financial grant of AED 2,000 for each student who joins the Higher Colleges of Technology.
