Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Communication - Radio and Television is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the fields of radio and television.


Program Objectives

The program aims to achieve the following objectives:


  • Provide students with the knowledge and skills required to work efficiently in the fields of radio and television, keeping pace with the demands of the job market.
  • Train and qualify students to practice the arts and sciences of radio and television professionally as a continuous and evolving career.
  • Introduce students to and assist them in obtaining job opportunities in various sectors of radio and television.

  • Identifying common terms in media and communication sciences and the fields of radio and television.
  • Describing the functions of communication, its effects, and its social roles.
  • Analyzing the reality of media at different levels (local, Arab, and international) and the factors that influence its practices.
  • Enumerating the bases of good radio and television production, its components, and its basic elements.
  • Discussing the laws, regulations, and ethics that govern media work, as well as concepts related to freedom of expression, cultural diversity, and social diversity locally and globally.
  • Evaluating the dimensions and components involved in media works and writings in general, and radio and television reports and programs in particular, in a critical and integrated manner.
  • Applying group learning and brainstorming skills in dealing with emerging media phenomena and diverse radio and television works.
  • Using various statistical methods to address media issues and problems.
  • Evaluating theoretical and practical developments and elements related to the fields of radio and television in a critical manner.
  • Using devices and equipment for producing radio and television programs and distinguished documentary films, and mastering the processes of photography, editing, and directing these programs.
  • Preparing, presenting, and directing diverse radio and television works, based on professional and ethical standards, and the values, traditions, needs, and requirements of society.
