Introduction to the Master's in Business Administration (MBA) Program
The College of Business Administration at Sharjah University has experienced significant growth since its establishment in 1997. The college currently offers four undergraduate programs in Accounting, Finance and Management, and Management Information Systems, as well as two master's programs: the Executive Master's in Business Administration (EMBA) and the Master's in Business Administration (MBA), which was introduced in the fall of 2016/2017.
Program Overview
The new MBA program has two unique features:
- It offers students the opportunity to complete the program in one of two ways: by taking only coursework or by taking coursework and completing a research project (thesis).
- It allows students to specialize in one of two areas: Islamic Finance or Healthcare Management.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the MBA program, applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 may be considered for conditional admission.
- Have two or more years of work experience (preferred).
- Demonstrate English language proficiency by achieving a score of 550 on the TOEFL or 6 on the IELTS.
