Public Humanities (Advanced Certificate)
The Advanced Certificate in Public Humanities explores public engagement as a cornerstone in the careers of scholars, researchers, and teachers. In addition to opportunities for cross-disciplinary thought and collaboration, students meet and learn from practitioners, setting the groundwork for a diverse array of post-graduate careers.
Program Description
The program requires the completion of 12 credits, comprised of the following:
- Required Courses:
- PUBHM-GA 1001: Introduction to the Public Humanities (4 credits)
- PUBHM-GA 1101: Case Studies in the Public Humanities (4 credits)
- Elective:
- Select one course from the approved list of departmental courses (4 credits)
- Total Credits: 12

Admissions
All applicants to the Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS) are required to submit the general application requirements, which include:

- Letters of Recommendation
- A non-refundable application fee
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will:
