High School Programs
High school students can participate in college-level artistic training in New York City and online through the Tisch School of the Arts. These intensive and enriching courses are taught by Tisch undergraduate faculty.
J-Term/Spring/Summer
Visiting students and non-majors are invited to take classes during January Term, Spring at Tisch, and Summer. This provides an opportunity to earn credits towards a major or minor, build a résumé with an internship, or take classes to change careers.
Tisch Pro/Online
Tisch Pro/Online Courses offer non-credit
on-degree professional training in various artistic industries. Students can build their creative skillset with an online course or join classes in New York City.
Study Abroad
The Tisch School of the Arts offers short-term and semester-long study abroad programs designed to draw on the artistic strengths of global partners and incorporate the rich history, techniques, and traditions of each country.
Special Programs
The Office of Special Programs at Tisch School of the Arts provides access to the arts for NYU and visiting college students, high school students, and working professionals. The office offers introductory exposure to the performing or cinematic arts and advanced-level training to grow one's craft.
Student Affairs
The Tisch Office of Student Affairs comprises professionals dedicated to providing support to students, helping them find meaningful community and success as artists and scholars during their time at Tisch and beyond.
Research
The Tisch School of the Arts supports and highlights research in all modalities, encouraging curiosity, investigation, and entrepreneurism through advocacy, grant planning, mentorship, and funding opportunities. The Center for Research & Study gathers three departments at Tisch that focus on the study and creation of theory, history, critical thinking, and social analysis of live performance and screen-based art.
Collaborative for Creative Practice and Social Justice
The Collaborative for Creative Practice and Social Justice is a professional learning community formed by twenty-one arts and cultural organizations. It aims to bring about positive community change through collaboration and creative practice. The Collaborative has launched a new funding model that empowers its members to self-govern the fund, demonstrating a methodology for achieving greater equity across the field and stabilizing quality arts programming within the nonprofit sector.

- OFF BOOK Offers Tisch Faculty a Window into Each Other's Work: The inaugural OFF BOOK event welcomed Tisch faculty and staff for a one-day collaborative conference celebrating collective expertise and creating pathways for innovative teaching strategies, research partnerships, and artistic explorations.
- Announcing the Inaugural Tisch Creative Research Faculty Publishing Grant Recipients: The Tisch Initiative for Creative Research, in collaboration with the Center for Research and Study, announced the recipients of the first Tisch Faculty Publishing Grant.
- Announcing the 2025 HEAR US Cohort: The Tisch Initiative for Creative Research proudly presents the 2025 cohort of HEAR US grantees.
