Program Overview

The Praktikum Webprogrammierung (Web Programming Practical Course) is a university program offered in the winter term. The program focuses on advanced topics of computer science, specifically web programming and the Web of Things (WoT).


Description

The program is designed for Master's students (P5.0.2 or P5.0.4) and Bachelor's students (P17, P18). It covers topics such as web programming, multimedia on the net, and typical development tools. The course includes small exercises, a project, and a final group project. The program also explores challenges and strategies for developing for the Web of Things (WoT) and uses common Internet of Things (IoT) protocols.

Course Participants and Central Allocation

The program has a limited number of participants (15 of 16). Central allocation is through Masterpraktika, and direct enrolment is possible.


Schedule and Deregistration

The program runs from Tuesday, October 25, to Friday, March 31. Deregistration is only possible until Tuesday, October 25.


Instructions for Application

To apply for the program, students must describe their:


  • Experience with web technologies
  • Physical computing / microcontroller programming experience
  • Motivation for participating in the course

Material and Exams

Course material is only accessible to members of the course. The program includes a final exam, which is scheduled for Wednesday, April 19.


Additional Information

The program is a group internship on advanced topics of computer science, and recognition for P2, P3, or P6 (advanced topics for Master) is possible after consultation with the examination board.
