LAND:MLA - Master of Landscape Architecture

Overview

The Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) is a professional degree accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board and STEM-designated by the Department of Homeland Security. The program engages applicants with a range of academic and cultural backgrounds, experiences, and interests. For post-baccalaureate students, the graduate degree can be earned via a 2-year or 3-year pathway. Students complete the program with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to enter the profession of landscape architecture upon graduation.

Program Details

The curriculum emphasizes creativity, innovation, design expression, practical knowledge, and environmental stewardship. The Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design Department also offers an Accelerated Master of Landscape Architecture for entering freshmen undergraduate students to complete the MLA in a 5-year or 6-year accelerated format.
