Course Structure

Teaching Staff
- Silvio Suter: Studied geography and English literature at the University of Basel. Professionally engaged in topics related to mobility, transport, data, and visualization. Has been a lecturer in GIS at the University of Basel since 2016.
Course Content
The course analyzes which types of data visualizations are particularly effective and why presenting data as stories (data storytelling) is so memorable. After completing the course, participants can critically evaluate and reflectively categorize data visualizations. They acquire a data understanding that allows them to question the quality of data and effectively present their own data.
Location
The course takes place in the seminar rooms of the University of Basel's Continuing Education department, located at Steinengraben 22, 4051 Basel, in seminar room 013.
