Kaufmann*frau EFZ Program

Introduction to the Business World

The Kaufmann*frau EFZ program offers a versatile and interesting range of tasks in various areas of the University of Basel. During your training, you will work in the fields of finance, human resources, construction projects, and logistics. Your responsibilities will include various tasks in the financial sector, administrative matters related to employment, terminations, and salaries, as well as organizing events.

In the Biozentrum department, you will learn the ordering process using SAP and various logistical tasks. In the project management team, you will visit construction sites with the project leaders.

Requirements

• You have a good command of German, both written and spoken.
• You are motivated to learn new things, engaged, and open-minded.
• You are a team player and work independently and responsibly.
• You are communicative, reliable, and enjoy interacting with people.
• Ideally, you have an affinity for numbers and enjoy working on computers.

Prerequisites

You have completed your secondary school education with good to very good grades in the main subjects (E- or P-track).

Program Structure

Duration

The program lasts for 3 years.

Training

You will work in various departments of the University of Basel and get to know many exciting areas.

School and Courses

• 1st-2nd year of training: 2 days of vocational school
• 3rd year of training: 1 day of vocational school
• Regular inter-company courses
