ERASMUS SEMESTER COURSE
The Erasmus courses are exclusively available to Erasmus+ students of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). The tuition fees are funded by the Department of European Educational Programmes, and the cost for students is 25 euros for one course and 40 euros for two courses. Note that terms and conditions apply.
ENTRY LEVEL
The course is available at the following entry levels:

- B1
LEVEL ACHIEVED
Upon completion of the course, students can achieve the following levels:
- A1
- A2
- B1.1
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The application deadline for the course is 21/09/2025.
ECTS
The course is worth 4 ECTS credits.
DURATION
The course duration is from 06/10 to 16/01/2026.
ONLINE PLACEMENT TEST
The online placement test is to be announced.
COURSE FEES
The course fees are as follows:
- One course: 25 euros
- Two courses: 40 euros
REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee is non-refundable.

TIME ZONE
The course schedule is in the afternoon, once a week (except Thursday) after 18:00 (135 minutes).
NOTES
The course schedule is subject to teacher and classroom availability.
SYLLABUS
The syllabus for each level is available, covering a broad range of topics, including practical activities and collaborative projects.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
To register for the course, students must provide the following documents:
- Copy of AUTh's Letter of Acceptance, current student card, or Certificate of Studies from their main university
- Copy of ID card or passport
- Recent photo (ID/passport type)
- Copy of proof of payment of the registration fee (25 euros for one course or 40 euros for two courses)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Erasmus Semester On-Site Course offers an immersive educational experience designed for Erasmus students looking to facilitate their everyday life in Thessaloniki while studying. The course takes place on campus, providing face-to-face interactions with instructors and fellow students.
REGULATIONS
The following regulations apply:
- Mandatory attendance for at least 80% of the total hours of the course
- Students are responsible for filling any gaps that occur on their days of absence
- In case of interruption of the course or failure to attend the course in full due to the student's fault, tuition fees are not refundable
- Justification of absences must be submitted by email to the Secretariat immediately upon the student's return
- Change of class only during the first week of the course, with the consent of both teachers
- Participation in the language laboratory (Lab) on the premises of the French Institute with computer and multimedia facilities
- Participation in educational visits to places of cultural interest as part of the course
PROHIBITED
The following are prohibited:
- Smoking in classrooms and public areas
- Entering with food and drink in classrooms and common areas
- Using mobile phones during lessons
- Taking photographs and filming the lesson
- Any form of violence, physical or verbal, as well as any insult or threat to other members of the class
EVALUATION
The evaluation of students at the end of the course is based on:
- 60% from the student's performance in class throughout the course
- 40% from the student's performance in the written examinations
CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
A certificate of attendance will be emailed to students after the end of the course, provided they have no pending issues. Note that the certificate of attendance is not equivalent to a certification of Greek language proficiency.
