Program Overview

The Center for Education and Lifelong Learning of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki offers a Summer School program in Business Analytics. This 24-hour online course is conducted via synchronous and asynchronous teaching methods using Zoom and an e-learning platform.

Program Description

The "Business Analytics" program aims to equip individuals with the knowledge to combine business management, data analysis, and analytical tools to make optimal business decisions. The program covers theoretical backgrounds and simple methods for solving business problems using Excel and Lindo software.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

• Understand basic business problems
• Model business problems using statistical and operational research methods
• Find solutions to problems by applying appropriate statistical and operational research techniques using Excel software and Lindo.

Target Audience

The program is addressed to all graduates seeking to become competitive in the job market and to employees looking for hierarchical advancement within their organization. It is also proposed to graduates wishing to enrich their knowledge on modeling and solving real-life management problems.

Format

The program includes both online synchronous teaching (12 hours) and asynchronous teaching (12 hours) through e-learning material.

Modules

1st Week: Module 1

• Modeling problems with linear programming
• Project management with linear programming
• Solving linear programming problems with Excel
• Sensitivity analysis

2nd Week: Module 2

• Descriptive statistics
• Simple linear regression
• Multiple linear regression
• Hypothesis testing-confidence intervals

Educational Materials/Benefits

Participants receive electronic files (PDF, PPT), video lectures, and additional exercises to solve.

Liabilities

Upon successful completion, participants are awarded a Certificate of Completion. To complete the program successfully, participants must:

• Attend all teaching units (absences not exceeding 10% of scheduled hours)
• Pass exams (quizzes)
• Pay all tuition fees by the program's starting date

Participants who attend but do not complete the program successfully are awarded a Certificate of Attendance.

Participation Cost

The fees are 130 for all participants.
