Presentation of the Formation

Understanding financial logic and being able to decipher accounting information are two crucial skills for successfully managing companies and institutions. Non-financial managers must acquire skills and master fundamental concepts of finance, accounting, and taxation, such as cost analysis, financial risks, investment planning, or performance evaluation. Appreciating these different parameters will enable making choices that guarantee the company's good health.

Objectives of the Formation

  1. Exploit financial information for strategic and decision-making purposes and decipher the information contained in the main financial statements.
  2. Appreciate the financial situation of a company using its financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.).
  3. Recognize challenges and risks related to taxation in the context of professional situations and decisions.

Target Audience

  • Professionals involved in financial or operational management of a unit or company.
  • Managers of SMEs wishing to master the financial aspects of their activities.
  • Individuals in a process of professional reconversion or perfection.

Program Structure

The CAS in Finance & Accounting consists of 5 modules, representing 15 days of training spread over 5 months, totaling 120 hours of teaching and approximately the same amount of personal work. Each module can be followed individually.

Modules

  1. Financial Accounting: To appreciate the financial situation of a company correctly, every manager must know how to decipher the accounting information contained in the financial statements.
  2. Management Control: Management control systems are necessary for planning and monitoring the activities of an organization. They allow for setting financial and non-financial objectives and managing the achievement of these objectives by facilitating decision-making, analysis, and control of business operations.
  3. Corporate Taxation: Corporate taxation is at the crossroads of law and accounting. This training offers a practical vision of the main taxes (profits, capital, VAT, stamp duty) and tools to master their impact, in order to optimize the tax burden and support the company's strategy.
  4. Corporate Finance: Corporate finance focuses on investment, financing, and distribution policies. The objective of the module is to provide the necessary tools for analyzing these policies and determining their effects on the company's value.
  5. Market Finance: As with any product or service, financial products are traded on dedicated markets: financial markets. Their prices reflect supply and demand and are therefore constantly evolving. Unlike savings, investment involves a risk that needs to be measured and managed effectively.

Sessions

  • September 2026 Session: Open, starting on August 21, 2026, and ending on January 29, 2027, in French. Registration is open until July 31, 2026.
