What You'll Receive
- A stipend scholarship of $33,637 per annum for a maximum duration of 3.5 years (PhD) or 1.75 years (MPhil)
- A tuition fee offset/sponsorship covering the cost of tuition fees for the first 4 full-time equivalent years of doctoral studies or the first 2 full-time equivalent years of master's studies
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must meet the entry requirements for QUT's Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Philosophy, including any English language requirements. You must also:
- Enrol as a full-time, internal student and commence by 1 January 2026
- Have a background in material/mechanical/chemical engineering or chemistry or physics or a similar field
- Have a first-class or second-class division A bachelor's honors degree (GPA over 6) or a master's degree in the relevant field with a research component

About the Scholarship
The scholarship is for innovative research on the development of advanced solid-state lithium metal batteries, supervised by Prof Cheng Yan and an expert team. The project aims to solve coupled chemo-mechanical problems through in situ characterization and advanced modeling technologies.
