Programme Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, students will be able to:


  • Critically evaluate relevant entrepreneurship and innovation frameworks, concepts, and tools
  • Appraise and apply multi-disciplinary entrepreneurship and innovation frameworks to complex business problems
  • Critically reflect on ethical, social, and sustainability issues in diverse cultural contexts
  • Demonstrate professional digital competences relevant to new business start-ups and executives
  • Evaluate and apply enhanced critical thinking, analysis, synthesis, and other transferable skills
  • Apply relevant entrepreneurship, innovation, and business modelling approaches to real-world contexts
  • Select and apply entrepreneurship and innovation techniques to well-defined problems
  • Demonstrate awareness of and plan possible solutions for ethical, social, and sustainable issues in business practices
  • Apply a range of professional and digital competences relevant to decision-making by managers and executives
  • Demonstrate and apply analysis techniques, critical thinking, problem-solving, numerical reasoning, and communication skills
  • Understand the theory and practice of management within their disciplines and chosen degree pathway

Programme Structure

The programme is offered in two modes:


  • Full-time: Studied over three academic years, consisting of 360 credits
  • Full-time with PTY: Studied over four academic years, consisting of 480 credits, including an optional professional training year

Year 1 - FHEQ Level 4

  • Compulsory modules include Operations Management, Accounting for Business Managers, Global and Sustainable Business Management, Personal & Professional Development, Organisational Behaviour and Analysis, Business Data Project, Marketing, and People Practices

Year 2 - FHEQ Level 5

  • Compulsory modules include Entrepreneurship & Innovation Thinking, Finance, Business Modelling, Working in a Global Context, Digital Business Project, and Digital Coding
  • Optional modules are available, including Management Information Systems, International Business, Human Resource Management, Fundamentals of Business Analytics, and Capturing Market Insights

Year 3 - FHEQ Level 6

  • Compulsory modules include Social Media and the Digital Economy, New Business Creation, Project Management, and Managing Digital Innovation
  • Optional modules include Applied Business Project, Leadership, Employment Law, Applied Analytics in Business, Global Financial Management, Global and Contemporary Human Resource Management, Managerial Decision Making, Fin Tech, Global Trade and International Markets, and Supply Chain Management with Analytics
