University Program Details
The university offers specialized language courses and introductory courses in foreign legal systems.
Language Courses
The language courses are designed to prepare students for a stay abroad and to obtain the "Sprachschein" certificate in accordance with º 4 Abs. 1 Nr. 6 JAPO. The courses focus on French and other languages, as the department of Anglophone Law and English Legal Language already offers a wide range of courses (see JOGU-StINe semester offer "Rechtswissenschaft" under "Fremdsprachen/Schl³sselqualifikationen").
French
- The course "Introduction au droit (franþais)" is open to all students and enables them to obtain the "Sprachschein" certificate.
- This course is also the introduction to the consecutive courses preparing students for the France study program in the Bachelor's degree program "Deutsches und Franz÷sisches Recht".
- Course dates can be found in the electronic course catalog.
Other Languages
- A regular course offering in every winter semester is planned for introduction to Turkish and Italian legal language.
- Courses in other languages will only be offered if a sufficient number of interested students is found.
Program Structure
The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of foreign legal systems and languages. The courses are structured to build upon each other, with the introductory course in French serving as a foundation for further studies.
