Course Overview

The Course is designed to provide students with a solid knowledge about wastewater and atmospheric emission treatments.


Aims and Content

Learning Outcomes

The course provides the techniques for the design of operating units, processes, and chemical plants. In addition, criteria are provided for the sizing and management of each unit.


Aims and Learning Outcomes

Strengthen capacity developments of students with reference to a full understanding of the technical implications in a wastewater treatment plant and atmospheric emission abatement.


Teaching Methods

Lecture classroom. During the course, students are involved both individually and in groups for the examination of problems to verify the acquisition of the various topics addressed, through a direct comparison with colleagues and the teacher.

Assessment Methods

During the oral discussion, the correct acquisition of the training objectives is assessed, through a discussion that highlights the ability to think about the functionality of the various equipment and their inclusion in the context of a complete system, also noting the criticalities and problems.
