Introduction to the Environmental Design Program

The Bachelor of Environmental Design program is a strong multidisciplinary undergraduate degree that provides a solid base of design education for students intending to pursue careers or graduate studies in a wide variety of disciplines.

Program Structure

The Environmental Design program consists of two foundation years and two intermediate years in one of three streams:

• Architecture
• Interior Environments
• Landscape + Urbanism

Admission Criteria

Students who do not already have an undergraduate degree and wish to pursue a professional degree in Architecture, City Planning, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture can apply for admission to the Environmental Design program.

• Students with an undergraduate degree and wishing to pursue a professional degree in Architecture can apply for admission to the one-year or two-year Environmental Design Architecture Master Preparation options.
• All other students with an undergraduate degree pursuing a professional degree in City Planning, Interior Design, or Landscape Architecture should apply directly to the graduate program of their choice.

Career and Graduate Study Opportunities

The program provides a foundation for students to pursue master's degrees in Architecture, City Planning, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture, both within the Faculty and at other institutions globally.
