Introduction to the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management
The Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management offers undergraduate degree programs in Kinesiology, Physical Education, and Recreation Management and Community Development. These programs provide students with a comprehensive education in the fields of kinesiology, physical education, and recreation management.
Degree Programs
The Faculty offers the following undergraduate degree programs:
- Bachelor of Kinesiology (B.Kin.)
- Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.E.)
- Bachelor of Recreation Management and Community Development (B.R.M.C.D.)
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements for the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management vary depending on the degree program. The general admission requirements are as follows:
- Direct Entry (from High School): Students must have a minimum 85% average over the required courses, with no less than 60% in each individual course.
- Regular Advanced Entry Admission: Students must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours of coursework, with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

- Bachelor of Kinesiology (B.Kin.): 120 credit hours

Faculty Academic Regulations
The Faculty has several academic regulations that students must follow, including:
- Policy on Minimum Grade in Faculty Required Courses: A minimum grade of "C" is required to pass all faculty required courses.
- Scholastic Standards: Academic Assessment: Students must achieve a minimum DGPA of 2.0 to be considered in good standing.
- Dean's Honour List: Students who achieve a Term GPA of 3.50 or higher will be placed on the Dean's Honour List.
- University Gold Medal and Program Medals: The Faculty awards the University Gold Medal to the graduating student with the highest grade point average, and program medals to the students with the highest standing in each program.
Registration Information
Students must register for courses through the Aurora Student Information System. The Faculty has several registration regulations, including:
- Faculty Academic Advisors: Students must meet with an academic advisor to discuss their course selection and program status.
- Course Sequencing and Prerequisites: Students must follow the recommended course sequence and prerequisites for their program.

Graduation and Convocation
Students who have completed all the requirements for their degree program are eligible to graduate. The Faculty holds convocation ceremonies in May/June and October, and students who wish to attend must reserve their academic attire through the University approved supplier.
