Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
Background
The programme was first established in 1997 with the aim of providing education and professional training for those interested in becoming Early Childhood educators. The curriculum developed for this programme comprises professional knowledge and skills in the field of childcare and early childhood education, including the history and philosophy of early childhood education, safety, health, and nutrition for holistic early childhood education. The programme is accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA/SWA11278) and fulfills the Early Childhood Education programme standard.
Career Prospects
Graduates completing this programme are eligible to apply for appointment as Education Service Officer (DG41). Other career prospects include nursery or kindergarten teacher, creator, childcare service/kindergarten operator/provider, lecturer, and academician.
