Introduction to Erasmus+ ICM International Credit Mobility
The Erasmus+ ICM promotes the implementation of mobility outside the EU, in line with the internationalisation strategy of higher education institutions. The University of Rome Tor Vergata offers students and staff the opportunity to spend a period abroad, entirely funded by the European Union, from and to non-EU countries.

Students
The Erasmus+ ICM offers selected outgoing students a scholarship of 700 euros per month plus travel expenses. All scholarship holders will be able to attend courses at the host university, and all activities carried out abroad will be recognized as established in the Learning Agreement. Student mobility can last from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 6 months, with the possibility to extend the period to 12 months, out of which 6 months without a Zero-EU grant. The ICM scholarship also covers research mobility at PhD level with the same duration.
Academic Staff
Outgoing academic staff receive a scholarship according to the provisions of the Erasmus+ ICM programme combined with the University academic trips' regulation for the maximum period allowed for that destination plus travel expenses. Mobility of academic staff lasts from a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 15 days (including the two travel days). The duration varies according to the distance between the University of Rome Tor Vergata and the hosting institution.
Travel Expenses
Travel expenses for both students and academic staff are calculated on the basis of the Distance Calculator and the distance traveled:
- Between 100 and 499 Km: 180 EUR per participant
- Between 500 and 1999 Km: 275 EUR per participant
- Between 2000 and 2999 Km: 360 EUR per participant
- Between 3000 and 3999 Km: 530 EUR per participant
- Between 4000 and 7999 Km: 820 EUR per participant
- 8000 or more: 1500 EUR per participant
Application Procedure
- Students: A Call will be launched, and all selection and nomination of candidates will be made by the home University.
- Staff Outgoing: Academic and administrative staff must present a Letter of interest and a work plan agreed upon between the sending Department and the host institution (Mobility Agreement) to the Erasmus+ office.
- Staff Incoming: A Call will be launched, and all selection and nomination of candidates will be made by the home University.
