The Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy is a three-year program that enables students to become professionals in the field of physiotherapy.
Program Objectives
The program aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to work in the field of rehabilitation, as outlined in the professional profile and code of ethics (D.M. 14 September 1994, n. 741).
Program Details
Upon completion of the three-year program, graduates in Physiotherapy will have acquired the following knowledge and skills:
- the scientific basis and theoretical-practical preparation necessary for understanding biological and genetic phenomena, the functioning of organs and systems, as well as psychological, social, and environmental aspects
- the evolution of the profession, the fundamental concepts of rehabilitation, and the methodology of the care process
- the principles and norms that define the field of activity and responsibility of the physiotherapist
- the deontological, legal, and medical-legal principles of the profession
Professional Ambitions
Graduates in Physiotherapy will be able to develop an integrated approach to patient care, critically evaluating clinical, relational, educational, social, and ethical aspects involved in prevention, care, rehabilitation, and recovery. They will also possess the cultural and professional principles that guide the process, diagnostic thinking, and action of the physiotherapist towards the patient and the community.
Career Opportunities
Graduates in Physiotherapy can find employment in both public and private healthcare facilities, including the National and Regional Health Service, as well as accredited and non-accredited private facilities, in a dependent or freelance capacity (Decree on Classes, Art. 3, comma 7).
