Master Mťthodes Informatiques Appliquťes ŗ la Gestion des Entreprises (MIAGE)
The Master MIAGE is a professional degree that aims to train executives in the field of Information Systems Engineering with a double competence in Computer Science and Management. The program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to apprehend all internal processes of a company and ensure their computerization.
Objectives
The objective of the Master MIAGE is to train executives who are capable of designing and developing complete solutions to meet the computerization needs of an organization or a client. They must be able to manage, pilot, and control an IT project in all its technical and organizational dimensions.
Public Visť
The preferred profile is that of students holding a Bac+3 with a double competence in Computer Science and Management. Exceptionally, candidates from computer science backgrounds can also be admitted if they have other forms of practice or experience in management and professionalization.
Conditions d'Admission
Access to the Master MIAGE is mainly done after completing a license in Computer Science or Management. For the first year of the Master MIAGE, the intake is limited, and access is subject to selection among the submitted applications. Direct entry into the second year of the master is also possible but rare, given the requirements in both disciplines, computer science and management.
Prťrequis Obligatoires
For foreign candidates, the required level of French is C1 (or higher).
Structure and Organization
The Master MIAGE is offered in alternation under a professionalization contract and an apprenticeship contract in partnership with the CFA Epure and the PACA Region. The first year of the Master MIAGE is common to both paths and is open on the sites of Aix and Marseille.

The teachings are built on two main pillars: Computer Science and Management. The computer science part is structured into three main areas:
- Development of computer applications
- Data processing
- Management of IT projects
In terms of management, the knowledge covered includes:
- Business strategy
- Financial management and main economic models of business development
- Human resource management and cost control
- Management, audit, and quality of information systems

The Master MIAGE aims to acquire technical and managerial skills necessary for the success of IT projects. Depending on the path, the graduate will be able to:
- Design and develop applications to optimize an information system or meet a client's needs
- Organize data to optimize their use within applications
- Manage the entirety of an IT project
- Design or redesign an information system to align it with business and enterprise strategy

Professionalization is a strong dimension of the MIAGE. Apprenticeship in a company represents more than half of the total training time through internships or professionalization periods in alternation under an apprenticeship or professionalization contract.

The professionalization in the Master MIAGE implies placing each year more than 100 students in alternation and as many in internships, which requires close ties with the local entrepreneurial fabric and the institutions involved in training.

The MIAGE benefits from framework agreements signed by the Faculty of Economics and Management with foreign universities, allowing students who are not in alternation to spend the first semester of the Master 1 abroad in an exchange program.
Aide ŗ la Rťussite
Depending on the students' origin, they will be oriented during the first semester of M1 towards a harmonization unit to strengthen the management skills of students from computer science backgrounds and, reciprocally, strengthen the computer science skills of students from management backgrounds.

A teaching unit located in the second semester will present to students the themes that will be the subject of the M2 paths so that they can orient themselves with full knowledge of the differences in content and targeted jobs.

Due to the adaptation of the training to the sector's demand, the cumulative duration of professional experiences realized during the training, the notoriety of the MIAGE diploma, and the important network of students and former students, professional integration reaches nearly 100% after the diploma.
