Specific Program: DU Performance et carrière du sportif de haut niveau

Description

This program is designed for high-level athletes, aiming to facilitate the management of their dual project of career and studies, limiting dropout rates in higher education. It also helps athletes manage their sports career, optimize their sports performance, and guides them in constructing their post-sports professional project.

Objectives

• Facilitate the management of the double project of high-level athletes in career and studies.
• Aid high-level athletes in managing their sports career and optimizing their sports performance.
• Guide athletes in the construction of their professional reconversion project post-sports career.
• Provide theoretical and practical content on performance factors in high-level sports.

Public Visé

The formation is open to initial and continuous training. It targets:

• High-level athletes from Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines referenced on the ministerial list (elite, senior, relay, conversion)
• National team athletes
• Hopeful athletes
• Professional athletes
• Trainers and staff of high-level athletes

Conditions d'admission

• Initial training students holding a baccalaureate or equivalent diploma
• Eligible trainees for continuous training holding a baccalaureate or equivalent

Prérequis obligatoires

• Hold a baccalaureate or equivalent diploma.
• Be a high-level athlete registered on the ministerial list or, if applicable, be engaged in high-level sports practice.
• Possess a computer and internet connection for e-learning teachings.

Structure and Organisation

• Total number of teaching weeks: 30
• Indicative date of pre-registration opening: June to August 2022
• Indicative start date of teachings: early September 2022
• Indicative end date of teachings: June 2023

Connaissances à acquérir

Acquisition of multidisciplinary knowledge, both theoretical and practical, on themes related to sports performance. The major basic notions are addressed in sports nutrition, bioenergetics, exercise physiology, anatomy, physiopathology, training planning, recovery techniques, sports law, anti-doping fight, foreign language, oral and written communication, and marketing.

Compétences à acquérir

• Develop autonomy skills indispensable for sports success.
• Be able to transfer theoretical knowledge into practical applications to optimize different compartments of sports performance.
• Master written and oral expression in French, argumentation, and sponsorship file design, linguistic skills, recovery plan creation, sports planning, management of media image, mastery of legislative procedures related to the anti-doping fight.

Poursuites d'études

Validation of the diploma allows for the validation of 34 ECTS in the first year of STAPS at the Faculty of Sports Science of Aix-Marseille University.

Aide à la réussite

No repetition is authorized. However, it is possible to capitalize on teaching units and split the formation over two years within the framework of a precise and detailed sports project.
