Master Arts Program

The Master Arts program is a polyvalent formation that offers a range of competencies to achieve the objective of professional integration or research orientation for students who have completed a Bachelor's degree, as well as for professionals seeking complementary training.


Objectives

The program's primary objective is to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to develop a personal project within an open framework that includes the socio-professional world and a policy of internships throughout the curriculum.


Public Targeted

The program is designed for students who have completed a Bachelor's degree, as well as for professionals seeking complementary training. The program is open to both initial and continuing education.


Admission Conditions

Admission to the Master 1 program is based on a file review, and the interest in the arts is a determining factor in the decision made by the commission, following an interview with the candidate and an examination of the file.


Structure and Organization

The Master Arts program is structured around four paths:


  • Parcours 1: Arts plastiques
  • Parcours 2: Arts et scène d'aujourd'hui
  • Parcours 3: Création numérique
  • Parcours 4: Médiation culturelle des arts

Each path has its own specific axes and courses, which are detailed below.


Parcours 1: Arts Plastiques

This path focuses on the development of artistic skills and knowledge in the field of visual arts.


Parcours 2: Arts et Scène d'Aujourd'hui

This path explores the theories and practices of contemporary performing arts, including:


  • Axe théorie et pratique des arts de la scène
  • Axe scènes numériques et acteur augmenté
  • Axe écriture scénique en espace public

Parcours 3: Création Numérique

This path is designed for students who want to develop their skills in digital creation, including:


  • Création artistique
  • Recherche
  • Professionnalisation dans les pratiques artistiques et culturelles numériques

Parcours 4: Médiation Culturelle des Arts

This path focuses on the development of skills and knowledge in the field of cultural mediation, including:


  • Axe Médiation culturelle des arts (en présence)
  • Axe Médiation culturelle des arts (programme franco-allemand, diplôme bi-national Hildesheim-Aix-Marseille université)
  • Axe Médiation culturelle des arts (formation à distance)

Knowledge to be Acquired

The Master Arts program aims to provide students with a range of knowledge and skills, including:


  • Techniques and practices in the field of arts
  • Theoretical knowledge of contemporary art and culture
  • Ability to develop a personal project
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Ability to analyze and critique artistic and cultural productions

Competencies to be Acquired

The program aims to provide students with a range of competencies, including:

Stages and Supervised Projects

All paths offer times of confrontation between theoretical knowledge and professional practice in the form of internships (national or international) lasting from 4 weeks to 3 months minimum.


Decentralized Teaching

All teachings of the Master Arts program are dispensed at Turbulence, site Marseille St Charles.

The Master Arts program is open to initial and continuing education and is linked to the socio-economic world and the professional environment, both regionally and internationally.


Aid for Success

The program offers modules for adaptation at the beginning of the Master 1 program, as well as tutoring and support for students throughout their studies.


Aid for Orientation

The recruitment process and interview with the candidate at the entrance to the Master 1 program can be considered as a sequence of orientation, ensured by the members of the pedagogical team, which allows measuring the motivations and abilities of the candidate to follow the training.


Aid for Pursuit of Studies and Professional Integration

Individual interviews with the heads of the training and the pedagogical team are offered to students to help them pursue their studies and integrate into the professional world.


Studies Abroad

The Master Arts program offers opportunities for studies abroad, including:


  • Accords internationaux avec : le Pavillon Bosio de Monaco, les universités de Québec, Dallas, Valence, Naples, Alexandrie, Sao Paulo (USP), Rio de Janeiro/ UNIRIO, Porto Alegre (UFRGS), Florianopolis, Brasilia et l'Université Libanaise
  • Mobilité étudiante qui intervient tout au long de la formation en Arts
  • Contrat d'étude (learning agreement) construit sur le dialogue entre l'étudiant et le référent à l'international pour chaque parcours, en concertation avec le service des relations internationales d'Aix-Marseille université
