Master Arts - Parcours Arts de la sc×ne

The Master Arts - Parcours Arts de la sc×ne program aims to train professional artists and artist-researchers capable of articulating artistic practice and theoretical reflection in the field of theater and performing arts. This training is based on a project-based pedagogy that places scenic creation at the heart of the learning process and promotes the development of an autonomous, reflective, and collaborative posture.

Objectives

The main objectives of the program are:

• To design, develop, and implement an artistic project (staging, performance, scenic writing, dramatic writing) from its conception to its realization
• To link artistic practice and university research, developing analysis and transmission capabilities in a research-creation context
• To acquire in-depth knowledge of contemporary performing arts, their aesthetics, historical, social, and political issues
• To professionalize in the fields of creation, mediation, and research, integrating into the theater and live performance networks in the PACA region

Pedagogy

From a didactic point of view, the Parcours Arts de la sc×ne is based primarily on a project-based pedagogy. It is organized, from the first to the second year, in sequences that alternate between group sequences (theoretical seminars, practice workshops, technical learning, research methodology) and individual follow-ups (tutored project, project design and implementation, administrative support). In both the first and second years, the implementation of assistantships and internships (first year, 4 weeks, and second year, 150 to 300 hours), in collaboration with professionals within cultural and artistic structures, finalizes the training and professional integration of students.
