Teaching

The teaching pattern for this unit includes:

• A 5-8 day field trip to Broken Hill, NSW, or various locations in Tasmania, held prior to the start of the semester
• 14 x 1-hour lectures
• 6 x 1-hour tutorials
• 10 x 3-hour practical classes The assessment for this unit consists of:
• Assessment Task 3: Field trip report (15%)
• Assessment Task 1: Geological Mapping Exercise (25%)
• Assessment Task 2: Practicals (30%)
• Assessment Task 4: Final Exam (30%)
